Please follow these instructions to try to identify if there is a gas leak on your Mangrove Jack's Kegerator.
Use a spray bottle filled with soapy water and without connecting to the keg turn the gas (5psi) on and spray all the connections including the regulator. Bubbles will keep forming from where the leak is.
- If at a John Guest (JG) connection point, disable the hose to that connector ensure the cut on the end of the hose is flat perpendicular to the walls of the hose. If not using a pair of scissors cut a new flat end to the hose and reassemble and test.
- If this doesn’t fix the leak, then request a newJohn Guest (JG) fitting for that connection
- If it is coming from a threaded connection, like the attachment between the John Guest (JG) fitting and the regulator or the ball locks.
- Ensure the connection is tight; if not, tighten and retest
- Ensure there is no damage to the components (large scratches to the inside of the John Guest (JG) fitting). If there is, request a new John Guest (JG) fitting
- That there is a Teflon disk at the end of the threading on the ball lock; if not, request a new ball lock
- Thread tape can be used on the gas side if needed
- If none of these, spray all the hoses and make sure there has not been any damage to the hose, causing a hole
- If so, request a new hose section
